S. Bleu is the author of Let’s Talk About It: Teen Anxiety and Easy Ways to Rewire It. Bleu is from Baltimore, MD, and loves to travel and spend time outside. She is a big believer in the power of gratitude, and practices this daily.
Her work focuses on mental health, self-improvement, and increasing self-esteem, looking at the whole journey of mental health and its seeds in our formative years.
Bleu’s work is driven by her own experiences with anxiety and other challenges, and she explores coping mechanisms she’s found effective on her own journey. She has been navigating social anxiety for the majority of her life and employs many effective strategies to do this successfully. She has a passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge and experience with others, aiming to serve as a role model for young people struggling with the same issues she did when she was younger.
As a teenager, Bleu volunteered at the shelter where her grandmother worked as a drug counselor, and as a result, she was exposed to people struggling to find themselves and their true path in life from a young age. Shortly after leaving high school, she joined the army, which saw her deployed to Afghanistan at the age of 18. This sent her on a spiritual journey that helped her center herself and find many of the coping strategies she still uses to this day. Now, she is passionate about sharing these skills with young people – those who are steering the future of the world.
